And since r\u00e9sum\u00e9s shouldn&#8217;t be all-too sentimental I thought that categories, each ranking the most interesting five networks, would be best. Of course I will update the ranking (as per January\u00a02016) the way other subway networks will come across my camera :-) Also some records should be mentioned, shouldn\u2019t they?<\/p>\n<h3>Design and\u00a0Appearance<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/moscow\/\">Moscow<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The Queen of subways and its underground palaces where photography is still kind of prohibited due to a Communist law to protect infra-structure. It seduces with typical Soviet iconography and the worldwide known typical Russian-way of metro construction.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/stockholm\/\"><strong>Stockholm<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; Even if half of the\u00a0stations\u00a0are a\u00a0daylight thing,\u00a0the subsurface\u00a0sections are unique\u00a0eye\u00a0catchers having a typical Scandinavian\u00a0charm.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/berlin\/\">Berlin<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Creators like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alfred_Grenander\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alfred Grenander<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rathaus_Spandau_(Berlin_U-Bahn)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rainer R\u00fcmmler<\/a>\u00a0shaped\u00a0the 146 kilometres long Berlin U-Bahn in a\u00a0historic-technically interesting as well as unusually\u00a0jazzy-modern\u00a0way.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/prague\/\">Prague<\/a><\/strong>&#8211; A dream when it comes to Soviet-type\u00a0tube constructions\u00a0that is everything but boring due to colouration and design. Also among the\u00a0stations of recent date you can find some\u00a0jaw droppers.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/lisbon\/\">Lisbon<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; Portugal&#8217;s capital metro is the living proof that side platforms can be everything but boring as it is clean and passionately designed by the use of details as well as most diverse architectural eyecatchers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Cleanliness\u00a0and\u00a0Clarity<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><a href=\"\/en\/undergrounds\/warsaw\/\">Warsaw<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Again Moscow is in the lead.
